Frequently Asked Questions....

Q: Is there an entrance fee to watch the performance?

A: All performances are free and open to the public

Q: Can students in the same family from the middle school use their fundraisers to help high school students?

A: Yes, all that we ask is that the money and order sheets be sent to the high school clearly marked with the high school students name and ensemble.

Q: Will students be penalized for missing practice or games?

A: We have spoken with the AD and are working closely with him to try and avoid conflicts on the Thursday and Friday that we will be in DC.  Students should communicate the dates to their coaches as soon as possible.

Q: What happens if a student becomes ill or a conflict arises and they are unable to attend the trip?

A: Straight from the festival company: The cancellation policy is the same across the board – any cancellations inside 45 days but greater than 7 days from travel forfeit 50% of the trip cost plus any non-recoupable funds.  Any cancellations at or less than 7 days from travel forfeit 100% of the trip cost.

Q: Will my child be excused from school on Thursday and Friday?

A: Yes, students will have excused absences as this is a school sponsored event.  Any missed work will need to be made up and we encourage students to tell their teachers ahead of time that they will be missing classes.
