Virtual Choir 2020-2021: Crowded Table

Our latest Virtual Choir Project is a collaboration between Concert Chorus and Vocal Ensemble, and was recorded and produced during January 2021 as a Semester 1 culminating project. The song is Crowded Table, by country music supergroup The Highwomen, and has been arranged here for the Nipmuc Choruses. The music was learned over Zoom and during outdoor rehearsals, and all audio was recorded individually by Nipmuc singers at their homes. We chose this song because it emphasizes the importance of community and relationship, which we always value as members of a choral ensemble, but now more than ever. Through this performance, we hope to share some of the ways we are still working to strengthen our choral community through music, even during this time of physical distancing.
