Keri Stewart

For my project I chose to write an original song about why I chose music and how much I think music has impacted my life. Below are the lyrics to the song.

Title: Years of Music

Verse 1:
I can blink and not miss a thing.
Nothing new and no escape.
If I stay still I may fade away.
Can I hold onto today?

Verse 2:
But with each song that plays aloud,
I feel the sun rise with its tune;
Fields of golden rays surround
A heart as welcoming as June.
(So I say)

Chorus:
Hello to future years of music.
Never gonna let the beat stop holding me.
This tie is making me feel lucid.
I know this path‘s right for me.
yeah!

Verse 3:

Look lights are flashing, crowd‘s eager.
Blended figures watching back.
Let this beat flow right through you
Like a wave of spirit and cardiac.

Verse 4:
Simple songs can turn us to one.
Reborn as lovers, not defeat.
We’re all born under the same sun,
Holding hands with every beat.
(So let’s say)

Chorus x2:
Hello to future years of music.
Never gonna let the beat stop holding me.
This tie is making me feel lucid.
I know this path’s right for me.
(yeah!)
