Audition Requirements

Shenandoah (Sopranos and Altos)
          - Students will sing along with the piano recording
          - Sopranos will sing the medium high version
          - Altos will sing the medium low version

Sing Me a Song of a Lad That is Gone (Baritones)
          - Students will sing along with the piano recording
          - Baritones may sing the medium high OR medium low version

Pitch Matching and Intervals
          - Practice with the audio files below, echo each example using any syllable (doo works well)
          - You may use either the treble clef or bass clef version of the sheet music

​Sight-Reading
 is created using the program Sight Reading Factory set at CDMMEA Junior Vocal Level 1

It will be in the same clef that the student's solo song part is written.
The examples are written in a major key of up to 1 sharp or 1 flat with stepwise motion only. 
Each example is four measures long in 3/4 or 4/4 time and may use any or all of the following note/rest values:
Whole notes
Half notes
Quarter notes
Half rests
Quarter rests

Evaluation is based on performance in the categories from the score sheet below.
